About RetirePro
Clearer retirement planning for India
RetirePro is a free retirement-planning calculator and education site built around the financial questions people in India face. A retirement estimate can involve household expenses, inflation, years to retirement, EPF, NPS, market-linked investments, healthcare, and family goals. RetirePro brings those inputs together so you can explore a plan and see how changing an assumption changes the estimate. You can use the free calculator without creating an account.
Who runs RetirePro
RetirePro is created and run by Rahul Singh, Founder, RetirePro, in India. The calculator and articles are intended to make retirement concepts easier to understand; they are not presented as a substitute for advice tailored to an individual household. If you have a question about the site or want to flag an issue in a guide, you can reach the team through the contact page.
Calculator assumptions
The calculator uses editable estimates rather than promising a particular future result. Its current default assumptions are 6% annual general inflation, 8% education inflation, and 7% healthcare inflation. General investments, including SIP-based investments, use a default expected return of 10% a year before retirement and 7% a year during retirement. The current default expected pre-retirement returns are 8% for EPF and 10% for NPS. These are planning inputs in the model, not guaranteed rates, official forecasts, or a recommendation to invest in any product. You can change assumptions in a plan; saved plan values can therefore differ from the defaults described here.
Results are estimates based on the information and assumptions entered. Inflation, investment returns, contribution rules, tax treatment, expenses, and personal circumstances can change. A projection should be treated as one way to compare scenarios, not as a promise that a particular corpus or income will be available.
How our educational articles are prepared
RetirePro articles are written by Rahul Singh in plain language for readers who want to understand retirement planning in an Indian context. The goal is to explain terms, outline trade-offs, and help readers identify questions they may want to investigate further. Articles are educational material, not personalised investment, tax, legal, or pension advice. When a guide discusses a scheme, rule, tax provision, or rate that may change, readers should confirm the current details with the relevant official source or a qualified professional before acting.
We aim to review relevant articles when we learn of a material change to a policy, scheme, tax rule, or calculator assumption. A published date or update note is shown on an article where available. The site does not claim that every article has been independently reviewed or that a page will always reflect a recent change immediately. If you spot a factual error, outdated figure, unclear explanation, or broken link, please send the page address and a short description through the contact form so it can be checked.
Educational use and limitations
RetirePro is a planning and learning tool. It does not know your complete financial situation and does not assess whether a particular investment, insurance policy, pension option, or tax choice is suitable for you. The calculator does not guarantee returns or retirement income. Before making a financial decision, check current product documents and rules, consider risks and taxes, and speak with an appropriately qualified adviser if you need individual guidance.
We want the assumptions behind an estimate to be visible so readers can question them, change them, and compare alternatives. That transparency matters more than suggesting that a single projection can predict the future. To explore your own inputs, open the free retirement calculator; for questions or corrections, visit Contact RetirePro.
